Multi-generational Authentic Australian Labradoodles - Company Message

Why an Australian Labradoodle?
Highland's Rocky of Coastal Maine, a multi-generational Australian Labradoodle

The original Australian Labradoodle was purposely bred as a service dog for a vision impaired woman in Hawaii whose husband had severe allergies. The dog was simply a cross between a labrador retriever and a standard poodle.
In the late 1980's, Tegan Park and Rutland Manor, research centers in Victoria, Australia continued on with developing the Australian Labradoodle. They carefully infused several other breeds into early generations of the labradoodle to improve the temperament, coat, confirmation, and size. The infused breeds included Irish Water Spaniel, Curly Coat Retriever, as well as the American and English Cocker Spaniel.  Australian labradoodles that have continued to be bred to each other with no more than one poodle infusion within 3 generations distinguishes them as true multi-generational Australian Labradoodles.
Today the Australian Labradoodle is being bred to be a genetically and a temperamentally sound family dog that offers the attributes of being allergy friendly and non-shedding.  Their intelligence and intuitive personalities make these dogs terrific candidates for guide and service dogs.
The Australian Labradoodle differs from other labradoodles because of the earlier infusions of Tegan Park and Rutland Manor's research centers. They are generally more reliable in displaying the characteristics that the true Australian Labradoodle was developed for over 20 years ago.

We have carefully selected our foundation dogs with strong Tegan Park and Rutland Manor pedigrees. They have undergone appropriate health and temperament tests to help insure that you will receive a puppy that will be a great family member. We ONLY breed Australian Labradoodle to Australian Labradoodle.
