Super Bowl Sunday!
Before we settled down to cheer for the Patriots today and all the Super Bowl snacking that comes with the game we went for a hike with Addie and Rocky. As we began our hike we were greeted by five whitetail deer in our back yard.

Addie's pups turned 1year old on January 30th and we received some of the nicest emails and pictures from her pups. We feel so blessed to have such wonderful forever families.

What a way to start the new year!!!!
Today we did one of our favorite things and took the dogs on a hike on our groomed trails on our land. We feel so fortunate to be able to let the dogs enter "dog heaven" and frolic off leash through the woods. Here is a video of today's hike. Rocky took his "girls" out on an adventure. (on Friday Periwinkle is going to join us too!!!) Hope you enjoy...we certainly did!!!!

We are thrilled to have heard so many wonderful things from the pups forever families!!!! The pups seem to be adjusting to their new homes and the updates make our day and fill our hearts :) Here are some pictures of two beautiful girls with their beloved Willow! :)

PLAY TIME WITH DAD! Today the pups had some play time with Dad (Rocky). He was so gentle and loving with them and let them jump all over him. What a Dad! :) Zuzu appreciated the rest time. :) Check out the puppy page for the updated 8 week old pictures of the pups.

The puppies have decided that they love their freedom and are not content with playing only in their condo....and have been easily jumping over the 14" sides...had to add on 8" extensions:)!

This weekend the puppies were treated with a visit by some of their forever families to help expand their socialization. The families were trying to find the perfect name for their puppy. Some were successful others are still searching..:)
The puppies experienced their 1st car ride and did wonderfully!!!

The puppies had "puppy mush" this morning for the first time and they LOVED it! Five round tummies when they were done. I usually give the rest to Zuzu to eat up but there was not much left. Both Eli and Nolan had a chance for socialization with the pups early this morning. They just love the boys and crawl all over them. Jonah usually gets in the "puppy condo" with the pups everyday after school. I'll post a picture of Jonah and the pups later.
On Friday after getting the group picture, I had to giggle when I noticed that Miss Vixen had fallen asleep DURING the photo shoot and Lil Prancer had cuddled right in with her. I had to take a picture to share with you.
Part of the "puppy condo" is a wire crate, to help the pups get used to seeing all of their surroundings and get used to being in a crate... they all seem to like cuddling in with their toys and blankets in the crate and running around in the added room the puppy condo allows. The condo takes up MOST of our living room. :) We are in puppy heaven!

The puppies have their 1st check-up scheduled for December 2nd to meet Dr. Reagor. They will follow up with Dr. Reagor on December 20th to get their vaccinations & micro-chips, etc. Then off to celebrate their 1st Christmas with their forever families on Dec.23rd. A magical

It's beginning to look alot like Christmas...
well around here anyway :) Started using a holiday theme for our Christmas puppies today for their 3 week old individual and group pictures. Today's pictures were a bit easier because the puppies are starting to be able to hear me! :) They are just so much fun and such good puppies. This weekend we are going to be expanding their home to change it from the small whelping box into the spacious "puppy condo". I'll be sure to do a video soon to show their new digs. Enjoy!

The puppies are doing great. Two of the pups have already passed the 1 pound mark and everyone else is pretty close. Zuzu has pretty powerful milk and lots of it! Tomorrow I will post the one week old pictures of the babes. I can't believe it has already been one week. Wish me luck.... the pups are already getting very squirmy! :)

What sweet sweet puppies! Their round bellies and adorable little faces cause me to just sit and watch them in amazement. They are gaining weight everyday and their little tails are starting to wag when it is feeding time with Zuzu. Watch for 1 week old individual pictures on Friday.

Not much sleeping going on around here!!! :) Well, the puppies are sleeping but we are having some sleepless nights helping Zuzu tend her new little miracles. Zuzu gave birth today to 3 boys and 2 girls. All perfect pups! She is such a champ at giving birth and is a natural mother. All puppies are extremely strong, healthy, and beautiful!!! I am already in LOVE! Oh how I love the sounds of newborn puppies.

ZUZU AND ROCKY'S LITTER CONFIRMED!!!!
Took Zuzu today for an ultrasound and the doctor confirmed her pregnancy! We are beyond excited! This is the litter we have dreamed of having since the very beginning. Our Prince Rocky is going to be a dad. Zuzu was such a natural mom the first time that this litter is sure to be a dream. They will be born late October and ready to go home to their forever families as CHRISTMAS PUPPIES! WOW! What an exciting holiday season we are going to have!!! :)

Rocky and Zuzu honeymooned!! Zuzu's ultrasound is scheduled for September 20th. The puppies will arrive in October and be Christmas puppies for their forever families!

New updates from Addie's last litter.:)

Sharon sent these photos of Sea Rose and reports that Rosie is attending Puppy Kindergarten and is the "social butterfly of the class" She enjoys her morning walks at the beach and has accumulated a following of human as well as canine friends and has even played with Barbara Bush's two dogs! At 6 months she is now weighing in at 13 1/2 lbs

Rocky lives in Massachusettes and has had the opportunity to get together with his older half brother, Fenway!

Wanted to share updates on some of Addie's last litter of puppies. We heard from Maggie's family that she has begun her swimming lessons..and soon she is going to be the "Esther Williams" of the canine world! Both Peri & Rosie are beginning their puppy kindergarten class in hopes of earning the AKC Star Puppy Award. We are very pleased that our families are continuing the training of their puppies. We feel it makes both the families and dogs much happier.

Finally had a day in Maine without rain so we took Rocky and Addie to the beach to explore. Rocky tried chasing a wave as it was going out from the shore until another one started coming towards him. He became a little more reserved after that!!

Rocky's Haircut
Today Rocky had his 1st haircut. I'm still trying to adjust to his new look, but I know it must be more comfortable for him. The groomer was surprised at how well behaved Rocky was for his 1st time at the groomers. Maybe that training is starting to pay off??

We have so much fun hearing from our forever families. Today we received updates on 4 of Addie's puppies.
Rocky, from Addie's last litter met Fenway from Addie's 1st litter. Rocky attempted to be the alpha dog, but Fenway soon let him know he was the older brother!
Rosie & Peri, sisters from Addie's last litter,had great fun on their playdate. Although they were hesitant at 1st they soon were playing just like "old times"

Rocky, where are you???
I've been putting off Rocky's trip to the groomers because I like his Fraggle Rock look but I believe he's gone beyond the look when I can't find his eyes! So off to the groomers this week for his 1st haircut. I believe it will make him more comfortable for the summer weather ahead.
Rocky had his graduation party yesterday after completing his basic obedience class:) Although Rocky is young his trainer encouraged me to begin his Canine Good Citizen Class next month.
So off to more bonding
time together.:)

We have begun to get ready for our next planned litter with Zuzu & Rocky. We are in the process of updating their health tests. We have been holding our breaths and waiting for the results of Rocky's OFA hip & elbow tests. We only breed dogs with scores of good or better so we were very pleased with his GOOD score. YIPPEE!
Rocky has been a wonderful addition to our family. He is always ready to participate in any acitivity we do and adds his comical take on every adventure. He is a great student in his obedience class (although sometimes he tends to be the class clown)

Life has begun to get back to "normal" with the last of Addie's puppies leaving to go their forever homes. The feeling of loss has been balanced out with the knowledge that we know each puppy has gone to a wonderful home. Their families have been terrific at sharing funny and memorable moments as their new puppies are transitioning to their families.
